Dux Brit questions
« on: August 01, 2013, 08:28:47 AM »
I'm gonna take Dux Brit for a test run tonight, but I have a few questions I hope will get answered beford that.

1. Can a single group go into shieldwall formation or do you need two or more groups?

2. How do you resolve missile fire from light cavalry?

3. Say a noble uses an Iniative Point to move into contact with a formation and joins it, can he then command the formation to move and then move with it? I'm guessing no, but just want to be sure.

Can't be done. Because 28mm is God's own true scale  :D

1. You need 2 or more Groups to form a shieldwall. A single group cannot form shieldwall alone.

2. Light cavalry fire as skirmishers, 6 inch range and all that.

3. Not sure, but i think he would be able to.

Good luck with your test run tonight, may your swords stay sharp  :)

As to the last point, no group or figure can ever move twice in a turn (ignoring special cards.)  So you can't move your noble 3d6 to have him join a group and then have him move another 3d6 piggyback on the unit.

We had a absolute blast yesterday playing the Cattle Raid scenario. We made a few mistakes (we forgot that Shock reduces the number of dice in the first combat, so it was bloody as hell. We'll never make that mistake again!), but we got the hang of things as the game went under way.

The Saxons won by two points, so they got a free month of plundering due to british casualties.

We are really looking forward to the next game.

Oh, and I better get my minis painted so I can post battle reports.
