New blog with Colonial Geramans
« on: 03 August 2013, 12:49:23 AM »
I finally took the plunge and made a blog to show off my figures, I don't think I'm as good as most on this site but my wife says otherwise, I think she has too  :)  I hope this will keep me motivated and focused on the projects that I have going on right now.  I keep getting distracted buy shiny and painted objects, like all the gladiators that have been popping up lately.  Right now I have my German force posted but I have some British, a bunch of Sudanese and some others waiting to be photographed.  These are for my fictional Africa setting so before everyone starts yelling that they aren't correct, I basically picked what figures I wanted to paint. Here are some pictures to entice you  :)

Almost forgot to add the website

I would like to hear what everyone thinks, good or not.

Scratch the walker.  Build the Konigsberg!  Come on, get cracking, I expect to see it in nothing flat.  No excuses now.  Move it, move it, move it.

The rest of you feel free to put more pressure on him to do this.  You all know he needs it to go with those figures.   lol

Lovely work.

Thank you all for the compliments, I get a lot of inspiration from this forum.  I just realized that I have not put any markings on my plane!  I know I have a sheet of decals around here somewhere.  I still have a unit of Ruga-Ruga and some Old Glory Camel Corp to paint up as mounted Schutztruppe.  I'm also thinking of making hand painted flags for them like I did for my British.

Well done, indeed!  :-* If they didn't exactly exist in that fashion historically, then they jolly well should have done.  :)
