The third season is starting here in the States.  A great show, lots of period atmosphere and detail.  You can see the first two seasons on Netflix.

Been watching it on ITV4 (UK) recently. Been really good. Good storyline and characters, realistic (ie. dirty rather than freshly laundered) clothing and good gunfights. Highly recommended.  :D

I'm afraid I found it to be very average. That's average in a completely rubbish, predictable stereotypical way.
The characters are cardboard and the story went precisely nowhere (much like the railway they're building) in the first season. I didn't watch season two.
But, if it's on telly, you can watch it yourself and decide :)

I find it watchable, but nothing amazing.  I don't care much for the main actor, but the second season is not too bad.  Definitely some decent period stuff in the show, and of course, a lot of ideas for games.

This is filmed locally and production wise it's very well done. I do think with the money they spend to make it that there could be more interesting stories told with it, but I do quite enjoy it nonetheless.

I have watched the first 3 episodes from season 1 and find it okay through not gripping.

Lots of useful info in regards to clothing, wagons etc - almost had the urge to buy some Foundry Indians but stopped myself as too many other projects to finish first.

One of my sons bought me the first series on DVD for Father's Day, and having already watched a couple of episodes on the telly, I was amazed at how hugely the narrative was improved by not having to sit through about 5 minutes of ads at several points in each episode  :)
Of course, having watched it through, I'm now contemplating buying the next two series on DVD  o_o
