BF&S Skirmish level tactics: Ranged weapons

This could be the first article in a new series for my blog that focus on the various aspects of By Fire & Sword. Depending on whether or not people find it useful or interesting, and if there will be a demand for more articles of this kind. The articles will mainly focus on Skirmish level gameplay since that is what most people starting out with the game are playing - and something which I have been playing a lot down at the club over the past months.

Anyway, the first article is about ranged weapons and what to expect from units armed with muskets, artillery, pistols - how to use them best, how they excel and how to combine different units to max out their potential on the Skirmish battlefield where you will most likely run a small number of small units.
