IHMN the figures (pic heavy)
« on: August 10, 2013, 11:07:26 PM »
Here are my IHMN Adventuring Companies, now that we've had some nice weather to photograph with  :D
I'd take credit but most of these figures (okay, all but the cowboys) were painted for me by Chillwind.

First up we have Lord Curr and his Incorrigibles.

Now we have the dastardly Society of Thule.

The Black Dragon Tong make their presence known.

A close up of the stunning brocade paintjob and fan on the Dragon Lady and the Dragon Warrior's back.

The Cult of Ra rises.

I was talking to someone the otheday about uses for the dock board and I pointed out that it would also pass for the same thing on the US East. To which end..

So many projects..... so little time.......

 :o :o :o

Bloody hell!
They are amazing!
 :-*

Whilst they are all excellent, the Tong stand out with that stunning freehand work.
The Dragon Lady is on another level.
 :-* :-*

You had to slip that wonderful walker of yours in, didnt you?
Most appreciated as there is a great shot of the windows, which I have to blatantly copy at some point.
Cheers!

No problem, it was surprisingly easy to do :)
The walkers have seen usage in several forces now but was always intended to be American. I think it's probably a Hotchkiss design, initially designed and marketed in the US but they saw no need for it until they realised the rest of the world were buying dozens of them and maybe that need does exist after all....

We don't say 'bloody' a lot in the US, but work like this certains encourages it. I'll be showing images of the lady to the fellow who painted mine for my Tong.

Cruel, as his work was a bit of rush for me, but I CAN be that cruel.  lol

Jealous of the lot! Not sure if 'Chillwind' is for hire, but will say either money WELL spent, or, aren't we lucky to have such friends?  :o

Nice work Dean. I particularly like the 'native' element of the cowboys.

Some great work there..............but more amazing than that is the fact that you can afford two of the 4Ground Warehouses!!!!

I must pick up some these figures at some point ;)

Rich (Chillwind is his name on here, but doesn't post that often) did these for the Salute game. I got him a pass and paid for his hotel, plus he
gets to show off the figures :) He should have the police and the limited characters done for BLAM. He was thinking of hiring out his brush but found he's just not strict enough with his time to make it viable.

but more amazing than that is the fact that you can afford two of the 4Ground Warehouses!!!!

You've seen the board thread right? There are advantages to doing the 'official' demo games for IHMN, such as getting figures and some terrain pieces at trade prices or perhaps free :)

What is that Spider Tank Thing?

There are a couple of threads devoted to them on here but I can't find them right now. Here's a link to the pics though, there are more further down the page.

Well done Lord Dewbakuk and Sir Richard Chillwind, well done indeed!

I expect that you are looking forwards to the Western companies in HVF? The walker would not look out of place in The Industrialists.

I know everyone was ogling the figures, but did any of you notice the close-up shots of the incredible cobblestones?
