Aren't McVey figures digital sculpts? Had one of their Limited Editions once. First and last resin mini I've ever had. Crumpled it into powder and binned it.

Privateer Press are (were) so poorly cast that I never got more than the first starter box.

Whenever I find one that paints easily, I typically notice it's a 40mm face on a 25-32mm mini. ;)

Am I the only one who likes Tom Meier's face sculpts?  They're not always beautiful, but they actually look like people, who are also not always beautiful.  His older women look like they've really lived, rather than some people who just figure old = ugly with a big nose and maybe a wart.  If they do older women at all.

My issue with Klocke is not that triangular face so much as the fact that his women all seem to be startled by their chests.  Or just fascinated by their own cleavage.

I'm not a big fan of his bodies or poses (they too much to me like cosplayers posing awkwardly for photos, which is something I find is true of the Dark Sword staff as well), but Tom Meier is a very skilled sculptor and where his bodies suffer for being a bit too human, his faces turn out great. I suspect he's more classically trained, like some of the European sculptors. If you look at some of Meier's drapery, such as on "Gwendolyn the Queen", it's excellent and also reflects such training.

I'm admiring Statuesque too, but I've yet to paint the ones I've acquired.

I have to agree. Andrews sculpts are brill....oh, and for me anyway, I think the paint up lovely!
