Teen age miniatures
« on: 22 August 2013, 08:51:11 PM »
Good day all,

I am hoping the great and knowledgeable members can help...

I am looking for 28mm teen age boys and girls.  Preferably in post 1950s attire.

I have most of what Reaper has to offer... teen wise.   And Hasslefree's not Scooby gang.

Just wanted to see what else I am missing.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Weaponized or bystanders/victims need rescue?

Combat war game, survivors, or RPG usage?

Gracias,

Glenn

Look for gavtyler on Ebay, he has a fairly modern riot range. Also the new WF Survivors?
Cheers,

Prefer them not to have weapons, but not really victims.   Looking at doing a skirmish game with meddlesome kids, not unlike the Scooby bunch.

Will definitely be getting the SSS figures.

Could you not remove some weapons from some of the Hasslefree younger kids Alyx and the like?

For 50s dress I would look at Brigade's Atomic Cafe range http://www.brigadegames.com/Atomic-Cafe_c_168.html ( see the greasers gang) or see the LAF board here for inspiration: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?board=50.0

Superfigs civilians has a few possibles: http://www.oldgloryminiatures.com/products.asp?cat=339
Last Night on Earth the boardgame has a Scot and school girl.

I suggest some of the Hasslefree figures  in the adventurer range Baker, Kev, Kitty, Suzi, or Maria with their weapons removed, or Summer in the fantasy football section. The strumpett in the fantasy section if painted properly could pass as a Goth chick but that's not really in the 50s anymore. Hasslehof in the civilian section could be painted as a greaser and there's Giles in the same section too for a preppy teen.

You could look for some "true 25s" adults as teens tend to be a head to 1/2 a head shorter than adults.

If you don't mind repainting plastics, the Hunger Games collectable figures look alright. About 2 dozen different figures there.
