Keen Against the Pyratehold - An Indostan Campaign AAR
« on: 02 September 2013, 01:21:15 PM »
We have finally played a long overdue game in our Indostan Campaign, but it has taken me over two weeks to write the report, having too many gladiatorial obligations at the moment.

The full writeup is on the blog http://adventuresinlead.blogspot.com.au/2013/09/keen-agaist-pyratehold.html

Some teaser pics follow. Please have a look...

Seconded.  ;D

I was thinking over the weekend of what had happened to your Indostan games (Gladiators permitting) I'm gearing up for a Tex/Mex SP game in a week or two, you have as usual inspired me. :D
What I like about your games are the set dressings. battlefield clutter etc really bring the games to life. Loving it. :-*

Good to hear Nick - looking forward to your game.

Pathans? I don't see any Pathans. You must be referring to the Indostani pyrates?  ;)

Awesome AAR. I use Sharp Practice for Napoleonics and ACW, but have never thought of using it for Pirates! What adjustments do you make for adapting it to the Pirate era? How would you adjust melee with sabres and cutlass' ? Thanks again for a great AAR.

Thanks Captain_Hook.

The rules actually already cover this under "Sailors at Close Quarters". They basically receive more dice in combat and win by a larger margin if they are victorious in melee.

I restricted them to eight men Groups and gave them "Poor Fire Discipline", but other than that we did not have to adjust a thing.

Sharp Practice is really a versatile set of rules.  :)
