Thanks for the comments
Here's the first bat rep.
The Agents are from the Department of Occult Research, Investigation and Study. Known as DORIS.
Agent Parker. Shoot 'em up, .22 handgun X 2 and cleaver.
Agent Peters, character. Command, heroic, Tommy gun and knife.
Agent Clarke. Lucky, shot gun and knife.

The Department had received contact from an undercover operative about cult meetings and ritual sacrifices in a village in the northwest of England. It was to be the Agents first outing as a team.
Peters gave the order to stop their car in a wooded area just outside the village and proceeded on foot, so as not to alert any sentries the cult had posted.
Just as they'd got out of the car and were doing a final weapons check a baleful howl split the night.
"Sounds like that's the welcoming committee."
Peters had a suspicion they'd been betrayed. No time to worry about that now though.
"Parker. Go through the woods. Clarke, with me"
MONSTER HUNT!!!!
Lurker Daemonic Hound. Combat vet, sneaky, +1 wound, heroic, tough. 15BP. Peters was it chosen prey.

The board and agents set up

The beast sets up in the woods and moves into cover behind the hedges.

Parker moves through the woods, Peters and Clarke cautiously skirt around the edges of the
trees.
The hound sensing Parker, leaps over the hedge and charges him.

Parker passes his resolve test for hideous and miraculously wins the close combat. He chooses to break from combat.

Peters and Clarke move forward and open up on the hound.

Clarke misses, Peters hits and causes 2 wounds not enough to kill the beast so he uses his heroic skill and fires again. He hits again but his weapon jams! However he causes another wound and the hounds tough skill isn't enough to save it from a minor injury.
Peters and Parker gained a skill and 1 map piece was found.
A quick game but very enjoyable. Forgot to use my heroic skill for the hound on the second turn. Probably wouldn't have mattered anyway my dice rolling was terrible. My sons on the other hand!! Should have got him to pick the lottery numbers that night.
Hope you like.
Second rep still to come.
Cheers BF

Nice AAR. Great game board.  I have to live vicariously right now reading AARs as I heal from a leg wound in which a serious infection set in.

Great AAR. All your stuff looks stunning Big Frank. This thread has been a real inspiration to me for my own project. I love funny acronyms and DORIS tickled my funny bone lol.

Looking forward to the next episode in the story.

Thanks for all the kind comments.
Hopefully I'll get the second bat rep posted up at the weekend.
@Litebrite. Hope you make a speedy recovery and your legs better soon.
@WallyTWest. I didn't make the roads. They're made of rubber and from a company called fat franks.
Anyway got these painted up.

Artisan designs Crowman to be used as a mad scientist.

Crooked dice scarecrows to be used as zombies.

Love those scarecrows!  :-* 8)

Me too!
 :-*

They are not as scary as the Crowman, though, as he reminds me more than a little of Gene Wilder.

Those are beautiful models and scenery.  The models themselves are great sculpts and the painting is superb.

No....wait...

Gene Wilder scares you?  Heck, if he just grins....it cracks me up.  I guess I must have watched "Young Frankenstein" too many times.   :-*

Can't remember seeing that in the movie!!!!
The crow man shall now be called Leopold Bloom in honour of mr Wilder.
Knocked up a scene of horror today.

Sanded and scored a CD then covered with PVA and stuck down a piece of kitchen roll.
Covered this with watered down PVA and left to dry for about 1/2hr.
Glued down (PVA) some hirst arts bits and a couple of columns I'd made (hirst arts dungeon door frames and Cthulhu figures)
Stuck a couple of skulls and scrolls on the pillers and covered the base in sand.
Once this was dry painted up, added static grass, grass tufts, bushes and varnished.
Hope you like.
Cheers BF.
