Expanding on the History of Spanish Venus - part 1
« on: 08 September 2013, 06:14:26 PM »
After Defeating The USA (with help from several extra-national sources) in 1898 using Submarines, Flying Machines, and Lighter Than Air craft (plus Advanced Alien Technology support weapons,) Spain turned it's emphasis on colonial building on Venus.  Part of the successful negotiations involved American representatives being allowed submarine access to the wreck of the Maine where it was ascertained that a more likely cause of the ship's explosion than Spanish sabotage existed.

The same day as the Peace Accords were publicly signed in Quebec two other secret treaties were signed between the USA and Spain.

The first was a secret non-aggression pact between Spain and the USA with provisos for

1) allowing Cuba it's independence (with compensation to Spaniards in Cuba for their land and property paid to a large degree by "unnamed persons" in the US and a quiet acceptance of American Influence in Cuba,)

2)American technical assistance with Spain's previously unknown acquisition of Alien technology,

3) a understanding that within five years Spain would allow all their Caribbean colonies to vote on Independence (elections to be supervised and certified as "legitimate" by a council of representatives of the Austro-Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, and French governments) and

3) an agreement by the USA to stay out of involvement with Spanish administration in the Philippines.

The second secret treaty involved

1) a recognition of Spanish claims on Venus in return for being allowed to send unarmed merchant Aether-vessels in an annual convoy to Venus (Spain sold certain plans for light Aether capable vessels to America plus promised assistance with "Technology allowing travel beyond Earth's atmosphere.")

2) Spain agreed to stay out of affairs on Mars (where America had interests,) and America agreed not to send "military, scientific, exploration or colonizing expeditions" to Venus although americans were allowed to participate in Spanish scientific efforts on Venus.

3) Further, Americans were given "favored nation" status on trade for any Venusian products Spain was exporting to Earth.

Glenn

Interesting!

I can see why the US accepted it all; sounds beneficial.

Had the secret technology been widely known, some might have wondered if the 'other' explanation might be that tech.  ;)
