Cracking job, I look forward to see the rest!

I'll bring these and the new ones the 20th. We'll take it all out for a spin with Pulp Alley I think. And shoot a bit for the LAF.

Those are awesome!

I'm also thinking of them being steam-powered hard-suits with a bad-guy inside.

Numbering them would be great.  It would make them both unique and still faceless, if that makes any sense.

If they contain people, then perhaps some kind of rank system with chevrons?

I can totally see these guys robbing a bank or assassinating a prisoner within a police station.

Yup all of that is totally possible. In the context of our games they're going to stay robots though. It'll be classic superman stuff really - evil mastermind builds robot army to take over the world.  lol

Fantastic job!! I like them :-*:-*!!

Cool! I can't wait to see yours painted then.  ;) :D

Great new additions there Doc! That leader looks like the type that is easy to heat up and build up some steam if things don't work his way... and, of course, go out with a big bang!  lol

Haha. Yeah, and with great ball(s) too  lol

having just reviewed some of my Tom Swift, Jr. books, these would fit perfectly for Tom, Bud, and/or  Chuck to be working on the exterior of Tom's latest invention, the HypoGrammatical Fibullizer, since it had been sabotaged by the interfering Visitors from Planet Squidge!
Ok, tell me just one more time: _Where_ am i going, and _Why_  am I in this handbasket?

Strange!  I just played my first game with these last Wednesday!

And I forgot to show the latest additions.  Hhmmmm.

I'm glad that this thread got resucitated.  Multiple robot minis in the same rigid pose always does it for me, and that leader is a great model.

Me, too.

There's something about that look of many identical drones.  When it comes to people or animals, we want each one to be different, but with vehicles or robots, a big wall of identical units gives an impression of unfeeling power.

I still like giving them numbers, though.  It makes them simultaneously unique and identical in a strange way.  I like that effect.

I think they're with black pyramid games now.

Here are the rest of the evil minion robots that I painted. I painted this right after the thread was started but forgot to post them. The sculpting is notably worse on these 'new' ones and I guess that sort of made my enthusiasm go a bit down. The original monopose robot with the arms at the side is way superior to all the rest in my humble opinion.

And here's all the robots collected in one image:

as a mass they work the best.

Yep.  They have the relentless, emotionless automata thing down.

From here I dont really see a big difference in quality, although I understand if it sapped your enthusiasm when painting.  They look good to me though :)

Fantastic job!

Just wondering, have you considered some lighter silver edging and/or edge chipping?  And/or some mud or dirt in the upper-body crevices to imply runoff catching there?  Some rust around rivets?

Maybe that's already in there and I just cannot see it on my screen.

In any case, wonderful job with these guys.

Ah, okay, different computer screen.  I see what I was looking for and it's there, very subtle and looks quite nice.  I like the rust and metal look on the torsos with the not smooth surface that we see with cast iron.  Very nice effect!
