Robot W.I.P Update 25/09/13 New arms
« on: 10 September 2013, 01:37:27 PM »
Hi everyone :-)

I'm busy working on a sort of Robot / Golem.
I've only done the main body so far, but he is also going to have different removable faces to choose from and different sets of arms, like a Power fist or Giant crabs claw etc.

I was thinking of sculpting a small force of Space Orc's / Goblin Sky Pirates and this could be a Body guard or something?

What do you think so far?

Thanks
George

Your sculpting really is getting sharper and sharper. This looks great.

Looks very organic for a robot, but lovely none the less. Looking forward to updates on this.

Love the robot so far. The idea of Goblin Sky-Pirates is fantastic.

Just a thought. Instead of Goblin Sky-Pirates, you could also make Gremlin Sky-Pirates. Similar critters, but the gremlin has more air history.

Nice work mate - love the organic texture, and the idea of interchangeable faces is a good one.

I hope it gets cast when finished. It looks really cool! I am sure I could use one for Rogue Trader gaming or other.

Thanks Everyone  :)

I started on a couple of legs. There removable, but I'm not too sure about them yet :?

He is about 40mm tall

What to you think?

And an early shot of one of the arms

Thanks
George

The sculpting on the legs and arms look good, but to be honest, I think it looked better as a big flying face, like a future beholder og such.

 :)

Good idea thanks  ;)

Do you think it should still have arms?

That.
I keep thinking it looks like a/ the moon and thus keep hearing 'bad moon rising' playing in my head when I look at the pics, which isn't such a bad thing as I like both the moonbot* and the song. Good thing I still have a pot of bad moon yellow...
