Help! Or Ideas to improve my dog companion.

Stormer (The Wonder Dog!)



Stormer is the loyal companion to my Companies (The Lucky 13) Leader. Alexander Stone. (Or Jelly as he's turned out)

Currently I have Stormer worth 29 Points. If my math is correct.

Pluck 3+                 9pts
Fight Value +4        9pts
Shoot Value 0         0pts
Weapon Teeth/+!   1pts
Armour 7                 0pts

Talents:
Fanatic (Daft as Brush) 5pts
Stealthy                        5pts


Total:      29pts

Now I'm thinking of adding speed to him anyway +2 more points, but he is only a large dog/wolf figure.
I don't really want to overdo the talents but is more than 2 to many? Which ones should I swap or you think would be more appropriate?

Fearless? 10pts expensive.
Hunter? Doesn't really apply here.
Immortal? He has been killed in every game so far.  
Impervious? Possible cos 'e's a doggy.
Terrifying? You wouldn't think it on his dice rolling.
Tough? Possible.

I will post piccies of the complete company when I've had a chance to repaint. That may take a little while.

I say go for it: let Stormer be anthing you want. That's the brilliance of this game. Perhaps Stormer is a temple dog---a Foo dog---a descendent of a divine guardian spirit and a mortal canine. Perhaps he is part hellhound, or part angel; or maybe he has mystical powers, or great powers of healing. Maybe he can teleport himself 12" in any direction, or leap tall buildings in a single bound. The only limit is your imagination.

Your stats are fine. Maybe if you try to not charge him unsupported at troops with lots of firearms and then keep him in cover until the final charge move. That should cut down on the sort of ungentlemanly opponent who orders his troops to fire volleys at a poor doggie.

The other thing is get more stormers. If one is good more must be better.

Hi again

I've decided to give Stormer (The Wonder Dog)

Impervious for 5pts extra
and Speed +2 for 2pts extra
This raises his total to 36pts. Protecting him from Mystical Attacks and adding to his close quarters protection and speed obviously. Allowing him to really give someone a good licking.

Alexander (I know the figure is a bit out of era) has current stats of:-
Pluck 3+
FV +3
SV +4
Armour. 10 (Light chain weave inside jacket)

Talents:-
Leadership +1
Marksman (Pistol)
Stealthy

Weapon: Pistol 1pt WPN Bonus +2/2pts Range 24"Max/4pts =Total 7pts for Weapon

Means He costs 46pts (A Bit light for a leader but I want to try to get 13 figures into this force)
