It could be a clockwork gun. But then it wouldn't really need tubes from the body of the robot to go into the mechanism; they would indicate it's a steam powered gun...

It'd be trivial to remove the crank obviously, or to replace it with an emergency pressure release valve or something.

Anyway, very a nice and adventurous design.

Most excellent. I'm already teetering on the edge of VSF, specifically the LAM range. This isn't helping.
