Japanese monk/priest archer
« on: September 27, 2013, 07:27:54 PM »
I finished painting this archer for my 42mm samurai collection.
I replaced the bow and arrow with my own, out of hammered brass.
The figure is 42mm from Steve Barber Models.

Edit: I commissioned Steve to sculpt this figure for me. I highly recommend his services!

Thanks, James- I figured if I'm going to commission some gravestones, I better get someone to defend the sacred ground  :)

Thanks- I used a kyudo photo as my main reference (given to Steve to use; I think he did a great job with the sculpt.)

Great model. Will certainly pick it up at some point even though it doesn't go with anything else I have due to scale.

Bargain price too.
