Ah, Yes.. You read the title correctly...

That damned Fritzy fella has got me interested in VSF, so I thought I'd put my own "slant" on things by building a steam powered chop....
It's got a low slung rear boiler set-up, solid suspension and trick leather upholstery and does 0-25mph in 40 seconds!!!!

I think a nice black and brass colour scheme is in order... I'll post some pics when it's painted.

I can see a Hotwheels bike under there with what looks like a plastic barrel on the back. No idea on the rest though. Go on, how's it built?

It's only now that the primer has dried I've noticed quite a lot of mould lines ( Bummer....)

Unfortunately I dfidn't take any pics before I base coated it but :
Parts wise it is indeed a Hot Wheels drag bike with the rear wheel removed and a GW barrel wedged in the back ( finished with a hatch from some WW2 1:72 kit). The wheels are from an old Corgi vintage car, the pistons are some strange chrome parts I had in my bits box ( possibly off a revell truck kit) with some steel wire pushers, the hand-brake is a Diff-gear off a 1:72 armored car ( the top is one of the original handle-bars from the bike.)The handle-bars are from a snotling pump wagon (weird huh!). The headlight is scratch-built and the rear lanterns are spare bits from a Pegasus building kit. The seat base is from a 1:32 M113 and the seat back is part of a canopy from an AT43 Walker. Finally the stack is an axle from a 1:32 anti-tank gun ( un-known). The rest of the bits are just odd scraps from a multitude of old kit sprues!!!!

I'm converting an "Isembard Kickass Brunel" mini from Ramshackle games to go with it.
