Looking for... Market wares
« on: 01 October 2013, 04:11:16 AM »
Guys, just wondering if you can help suggest a suitably product and supplier...

I am wanting to do a Market stall type area for 28mm skirmish gaming like EotD (thinking opening scenes of Sherlock Holmes movie 2...), but that would also presumably work for other settings like Caribbean pirates etc...

I can probably make the stalls myself out of balsa and matchsticks, but its the wares themselves I am mostly looking for...

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks in advance...

Scott

Ainsty & Hovels both have suitable market/trade type goods. Frontline have something suitable as well.

This tutorial might help.  http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55862.0

As to market goods try the following:

Ainsty Castings have the most extensive range IMHO.
Black Cat Bases and Steve Barbour Models have some eastern/arab trade goods and market stalls.
Foundry do a lovely victorian market stall which would be perfect.  Look in their victorian range.
S & D Models do a market goods pack in their 1/43 range and some other tasty goods as well.

Hope that helps.

Eureka miniatures have some market stall stuff in their civilian range. Mainly focused on North African and Indian markets but easily converted.

Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.
