Heavy Combat Biomech for ShadowSea and DeepWars
« on: 01 October 2013, 05:50:15 PM »
Here is another painted mini, done right after the Nautiloid. It uses mush of the same techniques for the metal, glazes of ink over a light gold basecoat so it was a fairly quick job for such a large mini (60mm tall). This was originally a ShadowSea model, and is actually on the 1st edition cover of the ShadowSea Deluxe Edition rulebook. It is amphibious so it also works in DeepWars also, and got produced as part of a DeepWars mini-kicker.

We're trying to keep making models like this in hi-quality resin and metal, so hopefully we can get a few backers away from Reaper for the ShadowSea kickstarter that is going on now.

Nice job!  The limited palette gives it a nice feel.  I have that figure already (albeit, unpainted) and the detail is outstanding!

Keep plugging away with the KS.  I am in with yours over Reaper if I had to choose.  Quality over quantity, I say...
