Pernov Class Torpedo Boat
« on: 03 October 2013, 06:17:34 PM »
It is a thing of wonder (as in, I wonder if I can build it...) and beauty.  Richard Kemp's (HLBS) latest madness: an 804mm long Pernov class Russian torpedo boat.  used from 1910 onwards, right through the RCW.  Mines arrived this week.  A cracking model, with a DVD showing how to build it.  Marvellous!!!

"...and as always, we are dealing with strange forces far beyond our comprehension...."

All limitations are self imposed.  Work hard and dream big.

I saw this on PMT (with all the usual negative comments  ::) ) and thought it one of the better kits I've seen for wargaming in a long tme.

Looking forward to seeing it built and painted  8)

cheers

I don't get it, what negative comments could you give for that? That's a lovely model and it'll look cracking with some paint slapped on!

I assume it's a 28mm model?  It's a beauty.  I'll be interested in seeing it once painted.  :)

I saw the plans for this years ago at the shop. Great to see that it has finally made it into production. It looks a fabulous model.

Lordy, a thing of beauty. >800mm..., you will need a cracking big lake Onega game board to be able to manouver that thing on.
