Well, it appears that October is a big month for SA and also my SA month it seems.
First off, my Cafe Press SA logo shirt made it in, got it in a dark brown to match the cover of the book. A great design and I look forward to wearing it when I demo SA in the future.
Secondly, my first miniature order from UMW arrived. Although I'll eventually add figures from different lines to my SA collection to support Mike I plan on using the SA line as my core models. A nice basic start up order of course I picked up the newest agents with the HPL figure. Then the necessary scenario packs, the crates, tombstones and obelisk. Finished off with all three cultist packs and my current personal favorite, the serpent men. A nice little bonus was an Ancient Warrior, Zombie Dog, and an additional agent. I'm really liking the style of these, and I can see the sculptors improvement over time. Looking forward to picking up more.
And finally, the Black Goat Cult shirt design is coming together nicely. My first design actually morphed into a design for a proposed "Cheesecake Cthulhu" project of my own, think feminine pin up versions of the GOO or "Old Ones Gone Wild" if you will. If it works out they'll be showing up on one of the myriad tshirt sites. The second design I like is pretty well finished and I'm toying with different fonts for the logo right now. I have an alternate design which I kind of like a little more but it still needs a bit of tweaking until I'm satisfied with it. And as to why this isn't a little further along?
This forum is why. Starting at the beginning, page 18, I have gone and read all the posts and am now almost finished with page four, only three more to go to catch up with current posts. A lot of great ideas, models and paintjobs and I want to thank everybody who has posted over the years, a little bit of a time investment but well worth the effort I think.
So shortly I'll be starting my own ongoing WIP thread in the fine SA tradition where we will follow my own SA project, where we will delve a little further into the MARS (Miskatonic Arcane Research & Sciences) Protocol, the branch of Threshold dedicated to studying and coming up with ways to combat the encroaching forces of darkness. I haven't been this enthusiastic for a project in a long time and haven't painted for the last few years as I developed carpotunnel in both arms and nerve damage in my neck so this is a really good thing. Thanks to anybody who has taken the time to peruse my ramblings.
