Blue Paints a Goodwin Wardancer...and likes it!

Howdy all,

Here are some pictures of the figure I painted for participation in the Painting "contest" that took place at the recent Oldhammer event that was held at Foundry not long ago.  This is the first Elf I've ever painted ...and I must admit it was a lot of fun and I look forward to doing some more soon. That Old Pointy Eared One was actually a Hero from an Elfin Archer Regiment of Renown...I also enjoyed painting him.
You did a BRILLIANT job on him. The flesh tones in particular are OUTSTANDING. VERY WELL DONE!

I have a few of the War Dancers from the same time period; you can have them if you'd like.

This is a real winner, and it's great to see what you can do when you pull out the stops! It's really picture perfect. And don't think I didn't see what you did there putting in all three primaries plus green and orange. That definitely brings me back to red period White Dwarf and the era I got my painiting chops in. I used to do that too. And it's not easy to pull of like you have here.

I've also accumulated a pretty big band of goodwin wardancers over the years and they have my approval.

I guess you are right...I didn't do it consciously though...it just seemed right.  At heart I'm a simple man...and simple colors please me...
