15mm "Kilrathi" walker, hoverbike, VTOL and terrain
« on: 20 October 2013, 03:41:43 PM »

OK, it is not a Kilrathi walker, but I will use it in this way.
One of the example armies in my upcoming book is a SF Catmen army.
(See: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/wing_commander.html and http://www.adpublishing.de/html/planetfall_vide.html

The army is basically based on Khurasan Felids, the Protolene Predator Assaultsuit is fitting nicely IMO.

The Kilrathi walker is from Critical Mass Games “Protolene Predator Assaultsuit”, the other minis are Khurasan Felids.

Is that last picture to scale? If so then those walkers are a LOT larger then I always thought they were. Interesting, I always imagined them as a bit of a battle suit like weapon but looking at them like this I suddenly realise how much the belly protrudes and that it is in fact large enough to suit an entire 15mm pilot. Very interesting.

Alternatively it might just be your epic painting skills selling me on a model I previously considered Ok-ish.

And a group shot.

Awesome, Nice colour scheme as well. I used to love wing commander. So how tall are these Kilrathi. In the game I recall them towering over humans, possibly 18mm to a humans 15mm.

Quality! I love those Tigrid miniatures. I wish they made them in 28mm :-(

Yup. Specially the hoverbike (hint, hint, Mr. Khurasan).

And because I hadn't mentioned it before, these paintjobs are sublime. :-*
