Votes needed to win a new set of machines

  I have entered a contest to win a small business grant.  I run Proxie Models, where I am trying to learn all the tricks to making my own plastic models from home with little or no cash.   You can read 3 years worth of adventures on my blog;  http://proxiemodels.blogspot.com/

  Chase Bank is giving away 12 grants for small businesses. I entered today but the contest is a month old. I need 250 votes to be moved to the panel for consideration. My chances are slim, but if I win I can finally buy some good equipment and hire some help.

  You must have a facebook account to vote.  If I win this grant I personally will promise to finally be able to make the all plastic Amazon army I always planned on. With plastic cavalry, chariots, archers and melee troops.  For a price so low it will simply amaze you.

I tried voting but it wouldn't let me. When I clicked on the connect to Facebook or on the vote button it just took me to the front page. Any ideas?

  You have to type in Proxie Models in the company name box. After that you have to confirm it through face book. A couple of people have declined because they think face book will spam people, but I think the face book thing is to ensure I do not simply vote for myself 250 times.  Each face book user only gets one vote and the connection is to keep it honest.

  Not sure what the issue is actually, it worked for me.

I had the same problem. You don't click the connect with Facebook button, it isn't a button for Facebook, it's a link to the front page of the site you're on, don't ask me why. Once you've entered Proxie Models press the 'vote' button below, at the foot of the page. This opens a pop up with the Facebook info (if you're blocking pop ups this will scupper you) and then, once you've clicked that, it registers your vote.
