Meridian Steampunk Infantry (FINISHED 25/2/14)
« on: November 05, 2013, 09:40:42 PM »
A few months ago, I caught a Kickstarter with 40 minutes to go with these Steampunk infantry. After quickly picking a small force and pledging up, I later found out they were sculpted by Andrew May.

My models arrived today and I am very happy with them.

I am planning to get the models put together and undercoated over the weekend.

The sculpts and casting are really nice and I am looking forward to painting them.

These models will crew my Neff and support a WWI style tank I picked up off eBay.

Excellent, I hope mine are on the way. I'm very curious to see what you do with them!

I chose fezzes for my heads... I must have been insane.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

I really wish I had the money to have gotten in on that...shame.  Gorgeous stuff, and I'm happy they're on the market now.

Got a bit side tracked with some other painting. The lounge, which involved using a much bigger brush than I am used to.

I hope to get back on track at the weekend and start on the first squad.

Still doing the lounge, but at least I have the Meridian models all put together.

You may also notice a large and very heavy tank...

Going with this colour scheme, with added steampunk attitude!

Tally Ho chaps stiff upper lip and all that!

Finally took some pictures of a few of the models completed. Painted to a gaming standard, I think they turned out okay considering how quickly I was able to get them done. It just took longer to post a picture...

Andrews sculpts are really very good indeed and there are loads of different poses available. I have enjoyed painting these and will get the rest done soon. Honest. I need the crew for my Neff!

Great work, I must sort mine out. Where is the tank from?

It was an eBay purchase, I will have to try to find the seller name again. It is a heavy solid lump of resin, appropriate for a period monster tank.
