Ideas for hoses, engine parts in 28mm?

Amid all the other stuff I'm trying to do right now, I bought some cheap die-cast 1940-50s Cadillacs I want to convert for a Cadillacs & Dinosaurs game. The transformation should be simple enough (see pic below), but I don't know where I can pick up some appropriate nicknacks to complete the look. These would be hoses and external engine parts in 28mm. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Off the top of my head...guitar strings...clock, electronics parts, small wire wrapped around larger wire(for short runs)... Parts from kids toys - think anything Sci Fi robots, vehicles, Transformers...


This is kind of stuff I always look for, for generic mechanical devices, machinery, etc.

I picked one of these up.  It is really handy and is not a a one use item!  All the links for engine parts that I had are listed above so I cannot contribute more.

That one seems a bit pricey. I did try one of these from ForgePlanet in Poland. The quality of it was appalling, and effectively unusable. Someone did recommend one from elsewhere, which is transparent. I'll see if I can dig up a link.

Yeah, I purchased some tubes from zinge. Still need some parts shaped something like rocket engines. I'll keep looking.
