An interesting start. Is that mottling done by painting masking fluid patches on and removing them after a spray? however it's done it's a good effect.

Great work, though I'm sad to see them retain the silly DUST "sewer lid" base.  I think they deserve more!  :)

Sewer lid?!  lol haven't heard that before Elbows. But now you mention it... lol lol lol

With the rivets not even static grass would cover it. Could sand/gravel mix then flock fix it all? It's difficult to see how you could cover the edges.

Just something that's always bugged me...personally I'd have ditched the bases and made my own - or used putty or something to cover the rivets.  All personal preference, but weird basing practices always distract me from a gorgeously painted miniature.

I think the ssu is a winner being able to sport cool tanks like that.
