School night? I know you're the right height but I don't need an image of you in short trousers and a peaked cap!  :D

Hahaha!

Knowing you that image has been in your mind for sometime and you didn't need prompting! :D

And, finally, the Germans....

Reserving a table at the Creek.

Pre-sunlounger period, but this is where it all began, folks.
You take my word for it.

You can just make out Dirk under the table after his third bottle of Merlot...  ;)

Just to go off on a tangent from the current discussion,  but the weathering on the table and floor is excellent.

Right you are, Sir.
Many apologies.

Cheers, mate.
I was pretty chuffed with it when it was done.
It looked much better without the flag but those Germans do need something to cover their 'Reservations', don't they?

They sure are!
 ;)

On a slightly different note, AndyM has come up with a great suggestion for the Creek that has really gotten the little grey cells ticking over.

This....

It is a pretty ingenious idea and I am giving some serious consideration in how I would like to approach it, but on a slightly smaller scale as storage would be an issue at the size he has suggested.
I particularly like the two 'cliff face' pieces and will certainly be utilising that idea, with a separate 'Creek' piece so that it can be used in other settings.

Cheers, Andy!

Wonderful work on the table, you are full of great ideas Paul!  8)

Will be great to see what kind the end result will be for the Creek and the track :)

Maybe include a railway tunnel on the other cliff piece?

I'd say it's an excellent way to get a striking scenery peace, depending on how you do it you could either go,

Shallow creek with translucent/colourless water effect or if you wanted a contrast go for a brighter more aquatic/turquoise colour for a more Hollywood style water effect.

I suggest photographs of Zion Valley as good inspiration, as it's a water source you could introduce some greenery.

Te hee-hee! Would you like the rod I made for your back also? ;)

The canyon in the drawing us waaay to big, but a smaller version would be good mate! As for the bridge, I think be nicer if it curved over the canyon floor. It would look even more interesting.

There's plenty of inspiration out there. Just search for wooden trestle bridges.
