1:120 scale should be about right. When I first started out on this madness, I bought the old Airfix St.Louis kit (at huge expense off eBay) which is 1:144 scale - supposedly the correct scale for 10mm.
But the ship itself is huge (about 400mm long on the table top), while its equipment - like its cannons - are microscopic. More like 6mm in wargaming terms. So that's still languishing unbuilt in pristine condition in its box!
Meanwhile, here's the next gang of pirates (and townsfolk) off the painting line...
Again, they're drawn from a variety of the Pendraken ranges - and again, the quality is a little variable. Some are little gems. One or two are a wee bit sketchy.
To be honest, the model I like best is the dog. The Pendraken pack of teeny tiny dogs is really lovely
