New from Westphalia Minis - Brits Abroad!!
« on: November 13, 2013, 10:58:53 AM »
Not seen these on the forum but felt they deserve to be promoted. Another two fantastic rude Brits from Westphalia miniatures. I can't wait to get these guys.

They also have a new Saxon 4Pder fast loading gun.

The same sculpts with stovepipe shakos would be cool - or I could get the knife out and do a head transplant. Great miniatures.

Hi I'm  a Napoleonic novice and am going to build a small force for skirmish gaming and these two figures are definitely one thing I want to have but I don't know enough about the period to be able to know whether they are penisular or Waterloo and what british troop type they are also where I can get figures to match.

Thanks

As they are they are 1812-15 in the Belgic shako. You could use them as is for later war Peninsular. If you wanted to you could hack their heads off and replace with stovepipe shako heads (plastic or other metal) to fit them in with British infantry in the earlier stovepipe shako.  They match up well with the plastic British infantry available from Perry and Victrix and similar metal ranges.

Really ? The Westfalia range is still listed on the Empress website and seemingly available from them.

If you check the stock level you will see it is mostly out of stock and when I spoke to the guys at Salute on Saturday they confirmed that they would not be getting any more in stock.
