StuG III Ausf G from Chieftain

The Sturmgeschutz III Ausf G was the final development of the Assault Gun built upon the Panzer III chassis. The early Ausf G saw service in Italy, the Eastern front, and North West Europe. The model has schurzen plating, with metal hangers, the earlier 75mm mantlet, and a selection of stowage, and alternate crew.

Hi Folks,

I intend to start a new sticky on the above topic featuring 1/56th scale AFVs/Softskin vehicles.

Please feel free to add any new releases covering AFVs and Softskin vehicles to this sticky.

A separate sticky for 28 mm WW 2 figures/artillery/other new releases will be created in due course.

To start our new topic off we have upcoming releases from AGN. A few sample pics are included: To quote from the AGN Yahoo site and my thanks to the guys:

Quote "I have posted a new album in the Group's "Photos" section (on the
second page of albums) showing AGNM's new SU-76 self-propelled gun.

It is priced at US$30 and is supplied with a robust, all-metal gun (as
evident in the photos). It is fully available for sale now although it
hasn't yet been added to our current web page (that will soon be
updated to show all of our new vehicles, guns and crews).

"A wartime expedient, there were few comforts for the crew and it was
known to troops as 'The B*tch'. The first SU-76s appeared in late 1942
and by mid-1943 they were deployed in appreciable numbers. Better
German armour had by this time [reduced its effectiveness] and thus the
vehicle's role was changed from anti-tank to infantry support."

Enjoy!
Andy" Unquote

Quote "I have posted another new photo album on the Group's "Photos"
section, on the second page, showing photos of AGNM's new Soviet T-28
medium tank.

I will be making the production mold for it next week and so it
should be fully available for purchase within two weeks, priced at
US$40. (And it will be added to our updated web site along with all
of our other new and classic vehicles, guns and gun crews.)

"Inspired by British and German tank designs, the T-28 medium tank
had a centrally mounted main turret and two auxilliary machine-gun
turrets in front... production models were equipped with the more
powerful 76.2mm low-velocity gun."

Crewed by six and armed with a main gun and three 7.62mm machine
guns, all evident in the photos.

I'll inform everyone when it's fully available for sale, that should
be shortly.

[Quote taken from "Fighting Vehicles of the World".]

Bye,
Andy" Unquote

Hi Folks,

Bruce Meyer of Company B sent me a lovely photo of the Sumida AC which is now available through Company B or Brigade Games. The crew in these photos are Battle Honours.

Bruce indicated to me that maybe by January we may see some crew. I'll keep you posted.
