Real live ones? That'd be cool but you might have to bring glue along to games for mid-battle repairs.
Those shrimp are so cool. Imagine sitting back and watching a giant one bust open Liberty Prime!
If you'd like an apocalyptic monster in 28mm, throw me a PM and I'll think it over.

Hmn, I wonder if they're like snails? Youknow being able to be directed by laying down a bit of vinegar (wait it is vinegar snails follow right? It doesn't violently kill them?). When it loses all its wounds then well there's no need to bring along dinner, you've had it sitting on the table the whole time. ...Though having one of those scurrying about a table sounds like something which would get messy fast. Not quite as messy as a hamster standing in for an Ork Squiggoth however. Those things just crap everywhere. ;)

This is fantastic stuff, and I have saved the thread to inspire my own 15mm project!

Have you checked out The Assault Group? They sell packs of weapons which fit both WG & WF plastics - as well as loads of metal models which might suit your project. Some of them (weapons & models) are quite esoteric.

TAG's a bit chunky I've found. I have the odd figure of their's, but they're like GW with their proportions, especially the guns, and not the highest quality at times. I considered picking up weapon sets from them, but they just aren't on par with what other companies are making, even if they do more specialized stuff. Ral Partha uwes to make some great gun sprues, but they're OOP unfortunately (I may get around to contacting them about whether they still have those old molds).

Companies will often help out with things like that if you send them a pleasant email. When I worked at Foundry we did that pretty frequently (actually, they sell spare weapons from the Street Violence range if you ask nicely).

Reaper miniatures sell a few weapon sprues.

Modern Weapons Pack

20th Century Weapons Pack

Weapons Pack III

Fantasy Weapons Pack
This last one has some bows and wicked pole arms.

Just a bit of a pity Reaper tends to be a bit pricey, well bar their Bones stuff. Frankly I'm making do with what I have at the moment. Those Ral Partha sprues however are so good (not just in quality, but scope of what guns are on them. I think they're for the Arab-Israeli conflict or something) that I just peen for them. :)

Love the conversions in this thread - particularly the terrain.

Huh, that's handy. Hmn, I may take them up on those thanks! :D

Yogscast Sips is currently doing a let's play of the original Fallout. He's made it to the Hub and went to Old Town. This is relevant how? I caught the warehouses there and for some reason wanted to make one. :)

This is where I'm at with the building currently. What's still left to do is add the windows, doors and the garage shutter, plus maybe some piping.

Its obviously not an exact reproduction, but I think it suites. Its a corrugated plasticard over a balsa wood frame and the ventilation ducts are from Fenris Games. Its sparse at the moment obviously, but I have plenty of furniture for the office in the back. I'd like to maybe stick a sign out the front, ah, though Hasslefree still doesn't have their ones back in stuff unfortunately. =(

And well that's how things are going on this front. I've managed a few new bits for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stuff, well enough that when I show up for my next game of it there'll be plenty to look at, so maybe I shift my priorities back to this setting. In that case this hopefully will stay in my headlights without something else big cropping up (another cabin's interesting me). There still is that Mar's Attacks! ruin sitting there for this as well ...which will be finished maybe in another year. Ah, but maybe next time I arrange a game of this I'll have an excuse to bother working on that (ack, but damn, is that reminding me that I need to expand my road system so I can do some proper urban stuff). Ack, till next time...whenever that is.  =P

Ah crap I just realised this thing didn't have a bathroom. :D

Warehouses don't have bathrooms. :) Looks great even without one.

That is bloody AWESOME.  Hmm, I had never thought to use coroplast for the walls...and I can access ridiculous amounts of scrap, working in a sign shop like I do...

Remind me not to drink any bottles of strange yellow fluid I find in the back of any of your warehouses kidterminal...  ;)

The corrugated sheets do for shacks usually Sinewgrab, but I suppose they do for prefabs as well. Personally I think that building looks a bit light to be too practical (it would have been better if I had double up on the thickness), but I like the look. The material will certainly break up all the brick and concrete a bit, and fits an industrial theme. Its just a pity then that I'm out of that particular type of corrugated plastic. I mean I have cardboard, but I was using vacuum formed stuff which was a lot sturdier (if more expensive). Hmn, I wonder if my uni has a machine to do it actually, or rather if I could nab it to make some sheets...

Since I posted that I've actually also started on some more roads as well. Nae pics, as screw posting innocuous lengths of wood. Its an expansion to my existing set, which frankly is only working as a highway at the moment, not the streets I'd like to have. So to that end I've pulled out the extra sections I had started when making the first lot and finished them off. This batch is made up of three long sections, plus four sections (half the length of a long piece, including two T-Junctions and two straight bits). They should be fairly simple to throw together, with right now all I have to do is add sand and paint them. Eugh, but now I have a hankering to have all the other bits as well. Lamp posts, telephone poles, jersey barricades, side walks and hmn, maybe a car park. I think I have some of that, or at least could make it all from scratch, but ah, I'm getting ahead of myself again.

Ack, anyway, just as a notice. This is me shifting back to Fallout again, as I think I have enough new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. stuff done to keep people interested when I play another game at my club. Plus that youtube series will keep the setting in focus, as is there talk about an announcement of the fourth game coming I think (I've really not being paying it much attention), so hmn, this may be just the right time for it. :D

Heh, cheers as always for the support.  ;D
