I would say, the figures from ANT miniatures and Northstarmodels are digitally designed and printed (at some places I found relicts from the printing-steps (sorry, I don't know a better word for that).
They are nearly perfect - but these are 54mm-figures.

In 28mm scale maybe the figures from Raging Heroes?
I have seen a master at Spiel in Essen 2013 , and that figure looked perfect (at least without my reading glasses)

Cheers
Thomas

The 3DForge guys have posted some pictures of the first run figures with their own critique and thoughts.
Have to say they look really really good;

As they say these are 3d sculpted, then hand cleaned and refined then made into master castings for use with traditional centrifugal white metal casting.

The little dog shows the end result casting as well as the original 3D sculpt (it is from a different project and cast in silver)

A great new set of "Street furniture" has been added, £28 including worldwide shipping:

Resin pieces with possibility of white metal accessories. Also for those so inclined the UK style traditional red Phonebox and Mailbox can be added to the set.

Loads of uses for the scenics from this KS even if (like me) you aren't interested in  Zombie Apocalypse gaming.

Actually I need the recently dead fellas, but laying on the ground where they belong, not up and stumbling around! Corpses are important in the Spinespur rules and figures look much better on the table than tokens/markers.

The scenery really is the standout part of this KS and the combination of price of the single basic sets and the already passed stretch goals makes it a "buy 1 get 1 free" for scenery already between 1/3 and 1/2 off retail price. Amazing deal.

Also if you get the chance take a look around the website of the project owner Alan Dickinson: he is a superb artist and designer. (link on the KS page)

Project cancelled after monies taken

This project has been cancelled this evening. Apparently due to an unexpected death in the close family.
Last update says pledges will be refunded.  But there seems to be no way to leave comments or questions about refunds on the campaign which I reckon is a flaw in the KS programming.  :-[

Have to wait and see. If anyone here who backed it gets a refund please leave a comment so we can see it really is happening.

Oh I'm open to be disagreed with, and the market changes rapidly, to my knowledge though, limited as it is, I haven't seen any decent 3D printed miniatures that match the quality of those presented in the digital sculpts. So post some pictures of models that meet that standard and I won't feel so questionable about this particular kickstarter. ^^

Tone is ever so difficult to set anyhow. Read everything I write in a giddy meandering voice. Fibble.

Warzone resurrection, toughest girls in the galaxy ect.alot of antenocitis workshops stuff is cast from a 3d printed master.honestly a large percentage of the miniature companies that have popped up in the last 5 years are using this method over traditional master sculpting.
Sculpted digitally and printed with a wax 3d printer to create a master.
