A tale of three Ogres (Plus another...)
« on: December 31, 2013, 05:20:48 AM »
I love painting up ogres. I think that the diverity in sculpts and in the way that you can paint them is a lot of fun. I just recently finished up a couple, and figured I'd show what cool miniatures fantasy ogres can be.

First up is a Reaper Bones ogre, sculpted by I believe Ben Siens (but I could be wrong). I really love this fig. Fun to paint and an all-around great sculpt!

Ooops - I said three! Here are the other two:

A fantastic sculpt from the Chainmail game from WoTC: the Ogre Penitent and another great Ogre from the Delves Kickstarter, the Oni Mage (sculpted by Bob Naismith). I love them both.

Nice. I replay like the differences in colour. That chainmail one is especially cool.

Reviving this back from the dead, as I have another Ogre that I finished (a while ago), and am half-done with another. Yes - I still enjoy painting up the misbegotten fellows.

Love that ogre mage - what a characterful sculpt!

Yep - Reaper. I'm not sure if it has made it to their Bones line yet, though, so may only be available in metal.

Thanks, guys. It's a really great and unique sculpt. Reaper seems to produce a lot of great ogre figs.
