The optivisor has been a game changer though. I can suddenly do the same sort of detail that has been beyond me for at least a decade :)

Ha, ha! My vanity, as yet, prevents me from employing one. Besides, I still seem to see fine close up. My distance vision has always required correction. I *do* have to take the contact lenses out to paint, though. My eye doctor, who is also a miniatures gamer, laughs at me every time I tell him I refuse to give in to a visor or reading glasses!

Exactly the same for me  :)

If helps avoid eyes train and extends my good vision by a year or two, then I can live with looking odd whilst painting details  lol

Based on some fresh information, the grenadier caps for North and Greys needed a little reworking. I also took the chance to redo the eyes:

Then it was onto the left flank companies of the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards (with a different approach to the faces, which probably means revisiitng North and Grey's again   ):

Next up, the left flank companies of North and Grey's and the centre companies of the 1st Foot Guards   :D

I think they are, Tories would have required me selling off figures rather than buying new ones  lol

Nothing special at this stage. I repainted my boards in November and have a good supply of medieval buildings that'll do for now  :D

Lovely painting.
I do like the Front Rank figures.
Great painting on their faces.
You will have a fine looking army when done.

Really nice. Wouldn't mind a shot of the flag with the sun; who makes it (or did you do it by hand!)?
