Project Ragna Rok www2 in 1/72 cheap plastic
« on: January 18, 2014, 09:31:24 PM »
I've recently been bitten by the Weird War 2 bug so I got myself a copy of War Without End the weird war supplement for NUTS! by 2 hour wargames. I'm interested in starting the project but I don't have any budget to ... well none at all right now. I have dug up some 1/72nd Italeri figures and some plastic model kits left over from the first time I was bitten by the WWW bug.

How difficult do you Ladies and Gentlemen think it would be to game WWW2 in 20mm? Also how costly? I'll give you an idea of the things I want in the game.

Mechs; does anyone do 20mm mechs? I like kit bashing but I'll need a source for the spider legs. Can anyone point them out?

The Occult; vampires, zombies, mummys and even Cthulhu monsters. Are there any in 20mm?

Robots; are there any good 1930-40s style robots that will go well with 20mm figures?

Finally I need a few pulpish characters for my game can they be found in 20mm?

I have read that thread with great interest before beginning mine. But thanks none the less. I am very impressive with this 1/72nd scale thread. http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=61626.new#new

Not sure this link will work but I think it proves WWW2 will work in 1/72. http://www.sdean-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35323

After looking at Amalric's link I am going to pursue Weird WWII in 1 72nd/20mm.  What is a good skirmish rule set to start with for Weird WWII? Thanks

I recommend 2 Hour Wargames NUTS! and War Without End.
http://www.twohourwargames.com/ww2.html

It has rules for making your own walkers, robots, super soldiers and of course zombies!

Nuts is an excellent rule set and what I used for the solo game shown in my link.

A bit late to the party, but Elhiem miniatures do a range of cthulhu inspired 20mm pulp figures...

Link? Many of the older 25mm RAFM C & C figures will work well with 1/72nd.
