Waiting for my copy but starting to work 'on it'
« on: January 21, 2014, 01:54:24 AM »
I have yet to receive my IHMN that I ordered last week , but certainly by the weekend I should be immersing in the tome and the supplement.  I did visit the fansite and downloaded a few of the lists there.  I think I can put together a few, Naval Landing party, US Marshall, perhaps even a party based on a few other ideas.

There are a couple other pics, mostly resources for Tarzan's friends and the primed Apaches on my blog entry  http://pancerni-fishtales.blogspot.com/2014/01/today-is-not-mail-delivery-day-pish-tosh.html

I have a little bit of work to do, but this fits in with a series of smallish games I need to run while I catch up on my painting.   See my whinging on painting my lead mountain on

I have read through some of the posts on this list (I lurks a lot) and think the parties I have planned out will tend to be rather tame as will befit the background I have in mind for our local games.

Hi Joe,

Don't let the wild and wacky denizens of LAF put you off. It looks like you already have two solid companies there that will cause any opponent concern.

The Tong with their sorcerous ways and belief that their enemies bullets shall turn to water (mystical power) are a hard lot to beat. The Royal Navy are about as stalwart a bunch of chaps as you should ever want at your side - use the British Rifle Co. list for these as the actual company list for a RN Landing Party only arrives with Sleeping Dragon, Rising Sun in the summer.

Welcome to IHMN!

Thank you, Craig, for the kind words and the pointers.

I have lurked long enough to know the forum is blessed with so many good solid contributors that a single post like mine draws little comment.

I do like the idea of groups that have differing abilities, makes for a better game.  I will post some thoughts, and probablywith a photo or two, after I get the copy that my vendor assures me is on the way.   At 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside, a good read in my easy chair sounds grand.

Played the first game Friday night, Tarzan and his Band against some Zanzibari slavers.  I 'borrowed' the Tarzan list from the IHMN website, teh Zanzibari slavers are my own list based ofn some Darkest Africa models I have.  Here is Jane and the band's witch doctor.

The game is on my blog:
