Fun Hobbit home project for kids
« on: January 25, 2014, 01:44:54 PM »
After playing my 10mm Dungeoncrawl with my young son (he is 6), he asked if we could build some homes for Frodo and his 'friends'.  I didn't have time, or a budget for this little project so we went to the craft store for some inspiration.  We found these great flocked Styrofoam rocks.  Here are the results!  My son and I had a lot of fun with buttons, granny screen and some bricksheets.  Sorry about the photos, my son took them with the IPAD.

They're great! I hope he's really proud of his work, he's done an excellent job (as have you of course  ;)).

But you guys know they will now need award winning gardens and vegetable patches too...  ;)

The Hobbit Digs look WONDERFUL...tiny, but wonderful nonetheless. VERY IMAGINATIVE & WELL DONE!

With proper therapy, I'm sure your eyesight will eventually return...eventually.

What awesome fun! The Hobbit Homes are so quaint and charming.  :-* I love the little chimneys!

Nothing better for the young imagination than a trip to the craft store and a burrow through the bits box.

Pretty good photos of 10mm with an Ipad, I'd have to say.

Your son looks to be on a great gaming road: playing, modelling and photographing! When will he start running you in adventures?  :D

Wonderful work! Enjoy playing with them.

Very cute! Something "hedgehoggy" about them. Smoke from the chimneys looks great :)
