The new "Heroes, Villains and Fiends" Companion book really inspired me to try my hand a creating a company. Besides I had some fig's ideally suited for the League of Southern Gentlemen and so Here is what I came up with your comments are welcome

The League of Southern Gentlemen
Major General “Jo” Shelby and the Undefeated

Joseph O. Shelby was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to one of the state's wealthiest and most influential families. In 1861, Shelby formed a cavalry company and was elected its captain, leading it into battle at Wilson's Creek. Promoted to colonel, he commanded a brigade at Prairie Grove. Shelby led his "Iron Brigade" of Missouri volunteers on what was to be the longest cavalry raid of the war at that time, Shelby's Great Raid. He was promoted to brigadier general on December 15, 1863, at the successful conclusion of his raid. After Robert E. Lee's army surrendered in Virginia, General Edmund Kirby Smith appointed Shelby a major general on May 10, 1865. However, the promotion was never formally submitted, due to the collapse of the Confederate government. In June 1865, Shelby and approximately 1,000 of his remaining troops refused to give up and escaped into Mexico, sinking his battle flag in the Rio Grande rather than surrendering it to the Union forces.  For their determination not to surrender, they were immortalized as "the undefeated".

William T. “Bloody Bill” Anderson was born in Kentucky in 1839; he migrated with his family from Missouri to the Council Grove, Kansas area before the war. By the time he turned 21 he was accompanying wagon trains on the Santa Fe Trail, selling stolen horses. With the start of the Civil War, Anderson began a career as a bandit, first with antislavery Jayhawkers, and later with proslavery Bushwhackers. In July 1862, he returned to Missouri with his brother Jim, where they resumed their guerrilla warfare against Unionists in the area. Anderson and his guerrillas went on to serve with Confederate general Joseph Shelby

George “Madman” Maddox, Chief Scout, was a noted guerilla of the times who fought with General Jo Shelby. He sported a pair of Remington's 1863 New Model Army Pistols.

Sergeant Brutus Easton was a hard as nails Missouri guerrilla fighter. Brutus jumped at a chance to fly because it got him into the fight faster.  His men would follow him to the grave or he would put them there himself.

John Evans – Surgeon. John was not the best surgeon in the CSA but in Mexico he was. His comrades said it was his grit that got them through

So here are the pictures of everything so far. (Still need to find an appropriate Fig for the Doc.

Major Gen. JO Shelby and Bloody bill started out life as Mage Knight Figs a little cutting, green stuff sculpting and paint made them what the are here.

Sergeant Brutus Easton and his men are old Deadlands figs I bought ages ago.

The Engineer team and steam bike is another old Deadlands fig. I love the details in this fig and wish the Picture was better.

Now for the final group shot

One final note: I have not detailed the bases yet because they need to be varnished first and its way to cold here to do it now (The wife hate it when I spray them in the house  :D )

As I said I'll post a pick of any new figs made for this company as they are finished.

Very cool. Well planned.

Gives me an idea to make a list for "Morgan's Raid".

Build the list around some more Lexington area gents, General John Hunt Morgan and Brigadier General Basil W. Duke.
