New WW European Buildings from Sarissa...

Didnt know where best to put this post, apologies if Ive got it wrong.  It crosses boards and periods.

Just been told that Sarissa will be Launching an New range of World War Western European style buildings this Saturday and the York Vapnartak Show (upstairs).  Comes with Church, 'Good' and 'Damaged' buildings, 'German' Radar, Bunker and Landing craft (will take 1/48 and 1/56 tanks).  Theres more to the range to come.

Sarissa do seem a lot cheaper than 4Ground. Does anyone know of a difference in quality or detail between the two?

They both make excellent MDF kits,(I have several of the 4Ground ones & will be picking up a few of these newer Sarissa offerings) the main difference being that 4Ground's ones are pre-painted. They may also have a slightly greater level of inscribed/cut in detail (optional holes in walls etc) than the original Sarissa WWII releases, however these newer ones look pretty comparable.
 Will they be attending Salute on April 12th? (or will another stockist/retailer be selling their buildings?)

Ah, of course, thanks. I did see the 4Ground models at Crusade and they were superb.

4Ground are quite a bit different from Sarissa...both being quality products.  4Ground are pre-painted, feature interior walls, and moving windows/doors/latches etc.  Sarissa are more simple, but also normally cheaper.  4Ground kits you just assemble, whereas Sarissa serve as more of a framework for what you want to build (which is nice, allowing you to build what you want).

The one other advantage I find in 4Ground is that their kits seem to be really genius designs in some cases...whoever does their designs really puts a lot of thought into them.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy some Sarissa stuff though - would be nice if they had more discounts/sales on occasion!

A lot of thought goes into the Sarissa kits too...  Horses for courses.  Pays your money makes your choice.

I was thinking of getting some terrace houses in order to make a display board or backdrop for my WW2 Paras. In that case Sarissa is possibly the best bet because they wouldn't be used for gaming.

Having said that, if I do more in-depth modelling then I might get an article out of it.
