Hi Matt nice work, try using a bright yellow green to highlight the edges of the figure the add a small point of orange some where along the green. It'll give you a more alien feel.As I've said before changing the colour you highlight with changes the mood of the figure.
If your not sure I'll show you how next time your through.
Mark

I shall bring one down the next time im over so you can show me so as to make sure I understand :)
I'm hopefully in Hull as of tomorrow so could try and arrange something for then if interested/able. If so drop me a PM and see what we can do.

Well another small update.
First off is a test Ratling sniper called Mike, I enjoyed him very much and happy with the results too. His friend is a drunk dwarf for my cousin Mike.

Second up is the Centigor that I received in a trade on here. I enjoyed painting him and positioned the arm different to look a bit more dynamic on his rock.

Lastly is the base for a woodelf diorama I am making. two high elf nobles, one with bow and one with great sword will be mounted on the base along with some tree spirits (kindly donated by Mason here) once they arrive and are all painted.
As you can see it is early stages but I am happy so far and once painted I hope it will be as good as I imagine it to be :)

Looking good, m-m.
Love the Drunk Dwarf, but those new Ratlings look like they are on steroids compared to my last lot of space-hobbits.
Nice paintjob, though.
 :-* :-*

As for the bits: Lets see if they are any good to you first.
 ;)

Im sure the bits will be of use to me :D
They do look quite buff compared to old style but I think a mix would look quite nice, some old and some new.
Thanks for the compliments too :)

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Well the bits from Mason arrived this morning and I have wasted no time getting the parts attached where wanted. I did not want to add too much and I feel I have the right amount. The last photo will point where each of the nobles will go :)

Also I am still stcuk on whether the painting will be summer, autumn or winter, may even be spring haha.

That looks like it will work nicely.

As for seasonal settings: I would go with whatever stuff you have handy regarding flock, scatter, tufts etc.
You are on a roll and dont really need to slow down waiting for stuff.

Ahh well I think winter it will be then, may even try make some icicles haha, already have plenty of snow and can make quite a nice mix too.

Once the whole thing has dried, I shall base coat it and decide on all of the colours that I shall use and make a start on the 3 elements, although probably the 2 characters first to give the base time to dry properly.

Well painting has begun on the noble with the bow and here are the pics. I am going with the winter scheme and so blues, greys and white. I like him so far although the photos do not do him justice as my camera is terrible and so is the lighting hahaha.
Front view...

Rear view...

I have had a set back with the base, the fact that I had to make a square one out of two cavalry bases did not help however that is fixed now after a few hours of splicing  lol

Also a quick photo of the base for my mounted chaos Lord, Kurchak :) Snow will be added soon and after the elves are finished I shall finish the chaos knights and Kurchak himself  :)

Thank you very much :)

Tomorrow will be more photos as I have now also attached the first elf and am happy so far. I do need to blend the base tree to that of the elf and snow will be added when the last elf is added so that I can 'place' it better haha.

So far I am thoroughly enjoying the change too :D
