15mm Early War Germans For Bolt Action
« on: 18 February 2014, 10:30:19 PM »
My finished force (with options) for Bolt Action with pin markers

These were the first 15mm I've painted for over ten years and I found it a real eye strain, even with my glasses on, so the Waffen SS force I was going to do next might end up on the for sale board...

Very nice Mick 8)

Working on a 15mm DAK force at present and know what you mean about the eyesight and only seem to have one eye that can see any detail even with glasses these days. :-[

Is that the Zvezda Panzer III?

Looking forward to seeing your next project dvelop and a LRDG force sounds great :)

My Grandfather on my Mums side fought in North Africa, on into Italy and finally into Europe when he was fit again. My North Africa project is a tribute to him. He only ever really spoke in any detail of North Africa and a little bit about Italy where he was wounded but would not go into much detail about Europe.

I have plans on creating British and maybe a Commonwealth force or two after i've finished the DAK force and fancy doing some Indian Troops and will use those packs from Peter Pig.

Each force will be based upon similair lines to your force and mine will be 30-40 individually based miniatures and will include an element of armour or two and whatever esle i can think of and get my hands on for added extra options and then it will be on to buildings and terrain.

Very nice force there.  Do you scale down ranges to centimetres when playing Bolt Action at 15mm?

Two schools of thought on that, first is change it all from inches to centimetres and the other is leave it as is to give more realistic ranges. I don't mind either but the local club prefers the cm one.

I really like your pin markers.

Our club plays in 15mm as well but we keep all the ranges in inches. Makes for a fairly inexpensive game in that scale too!
