Here's some bits I've put together to represent Magical Artifacts as described in the SA rules.
A couple of the items are much larger than they would be "in real life" - at a true 28mm scale, bits of jewelry would be pretty much lost...
As usual, still have the finishing touches on the base work left to do...
First up, a pair of Lucky Idols.
These are old Ral Partha familiars, IIRC...
Next we have the Amulet of Protection (L), and the Chalice of the Wyld (R).
Amulet is the "gem" bit from out of a scarab beetle pendant. Have a second scarab pendant to do, so I may just leave the jewel bit inside.
Chalice is the top off a 28mm fantasy standard from the bits box. I drilled out the top of the cup, and added a small washer for the base.
Next we have the creepiest item, the Dark Pendant. It's a conversion - body is a frog pendant, with head cut off, and a 28mm orc/demon head glued on. I sculpted the spinal vane along back side to blend the head and body together and added some detail to match the frog skin. Hard to see much of anything with it being painted a gloss black.
The frog is metal, and in trying to cut the head off, I broke a $12 set of sprue snips...
I guess the Pendant is Cursed!, after all.
"Klaatu...Verata...er...Harrumph..."
Next to last we have the old stand-by from Leading Edge Games. I've had this in a box for 20 years and now can finally put it to good use. Can use it as a plot point, evil tome, etc.
And finally something fun... saw a recent post (LAF?.. DF? ... cant remember.) on the bird bath, so thought I'd give it a go. Found the bird cage bits at Michaels, as well as the cherub pendant. Dishes are the bird cage pans. Concrete bases are metal figure stands from bits box, and pedestals are cork board pins.
Really happy with the water effect. Liquitex String Gel is the product I used for water effect. Dries clear and is water based.
