15mm PSC late model British Shermans
« on: February 28, 2014, 02:01:31 PM »

Working on a 15mm Sherman Firefly and M4A4 from PSC. Also used PSC decals for the 7th Armoured Division in Normandy 1944. I used Old English scratch cover for dark woods diluted with water and thinner as a wash. I don't think I left it on long enough (I was afraid it would ruin the paint), to dry but it did fill in some recesses like a wash would. Next time I will let it dry longer and report back. As usual the tank is weighted with a small 54mm box mold I cast to make a metal weight added to the interior of the hulls. The markings are suppose too be 1st Royal Tank Regiment of the of the 7th on the Firefly. The markings on the M4A4 are the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars 1943-1945. They were the 7th's Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment.

Notice: I want to thank the cat for the whiskers for the antennas. lol o_o
It is not how a man acts when time are good that define him, it is trials and tribulations that makes a man's moral character.

Nice work, however 7th Armoured did not use the 75mm M4A4 that role was filled by the Cromwell. Only Canadians used Shermans in the recce Regt too.
