There's this lady in a dress, with a shotgun, from Brigade:

And this lady in a converted Zouave uniform (perhaps a bit shocking, as she is in pants)

In fact, here's a whole squad (6) of them

Those distaff Zouave figures... Hmm, good point...

I wonder if the pants would be as shocking on a woman as a completely exposed leg or arm?

Gracias,

Glenn

Pants weren't shocking, they would call into question a woman's status as a "lady" and risk her social class. Remember the 19th century American west was as class conscious as England, just a little easier to rise up and a hell of a lot easier to fall down.

That said in a pioneer setting things needed done and pants would be overlooked to some degree if the situation warranted it.

Reaper does a Wild West Madam - Miss Scarlett:

Still armed, but period dressed and suitable for many an establishment of ill repute, or good repute, that wishes to stay that way.

I think I have that one.  If not, I will get one eventually.

It is easier finding armed figures than unarmed ones...  I really want (mostly) more of the latter.

Glenn

Ooh, ooh, that is where that figure came from!

Sad when you find really cool figures in your storage and you can't remember where you got them (this was not an actual Ebay buy but right from the Vendor IIRC.)

I hope I can do it justice.

And thanks to Cory I need a back story to explain why she wears pants... much more so than packs a pistol.   ;)   lol

Gracias,

Glenn

My OP said: So, I am looking for a few more armed [I have many unarmed ones] appropriately dressed <snip>  females to fill out the Victorian style Anglos for my Northern Mexico/Southwest USA games.
<snip>
Then I said:  It is easier finding armed figures than unarmed ones...  I really want (mostly) more of the latter.
<snip>

Okay, this quote appears to contradict myself.   ::)  o_o    ???  Let's see if we can state this clearer.

Originally I was concerned about armed appropriately dressed Anglo (not peons or upper class Mexican/Spanish) females armed with weapons.

The latter words of mine were poorly chosen.  I should have stated that in general it is easier to find armed females including those who I choose not to buy because of the clothing is not what I wanted in the figures than to find appropriately dressed  unarmed females.  There are lots of armed females figures that I could use except for the whole clothes/flesh thing.  There are apparently more armed appropriately dressed female figures than I was aware of (or forget I had in storage, [  ::) ] ) so am glad to have that pointed out to me.   :-*

Why am I so focused on that whole clothing aspect?  Well, I have hopes to introduce in my setting a group of emigrant Anglo female anarchists (and their recruited locals) trying to establish a secret base in North Mexico for worldwide nefarious purposes.  Because of the social status/mind set of the original/leadership women there is a need to appear "respectable" to outsiders so the whole radical sexual revolution thing is anathema for this group (plus it allows me more easily to use the figures in other Victorian historical settings/games.)

I have thought on this so long that I failed to include that aspect in my OP.  OOPS, sorry about the significant oversight.

Gracias,

Glenn

Yes, a while ago but I had forgotten them.  There are 5 figures there that might be worth buying the set and selling off (at least most of) the others.

Glenn

Before I buy multiple packs, cherry pick the females figures, then sell off the other figures I probably should check out Ebay...

So many usable figures surrounded by figures I don't want...

 lol

Who thought someday I would (essentially) say, "There are too many figures."   ::)   ;)

Gracias,

Glenn
