What I painted in March 2014
« on: March 11, 2014, 09:45:06 PM »
I was away for a week on business and taking my trust travel kit of paints and a few figures I worked on the following.

Mix of Crooked Dice Federated Troopers, Crooked Dice scientist, Mongoose Judge Dredd four armed demon - who didn't photograph well, Mongoose Judge Dredd Sky Surfers, couple of unknown minataurs and that was about it.

Not too shabby for also doing a 60 hour work week!

The federated troops (guys in black with green bands on their helmets - from the old tv show Blakes 7) are due for a dry brush. Other bits of detailing to happen as well but mostly they will stay like this ... (apart from the chap with no head who's head will be painted and added shortly, and the undercoated only minataur at the back!)

I kind like that the headless guy looks like hes answering a phone.

This little variety is what I am painting atm. If I can get these done by the end of march I will be happy. Any progress is progress as far as I am concerned.

Hey any progress IS progress! When I'm away on business once work is done its perfect time to sit down and paint ... much harder to consistently find that time at home.

Just started using white as an undercoat. I think I prefer it.

Bacl doesn't work for me. I can't see the details once I've done them black - yes I know my mianaut is undercoated black - it was a final attempt to have it work for me ... it doesn't.

Didn't feel up to painting anything requiring a fine hand (Which every single Samurai model requires) so decided to finish off some mantic elves I started many months ago.

They had been base coated with the right colours if a little patchy so I tidied them up a little before basing and varnishing them. Sadly the varnish frosted ruining them a little. I also forgot to give the leader his sword.

After dipping a six point viking warband for SAGA I finally really painted a miniature. The first one in three months; a Sash & Sabre 40 mm Viking.
