Awesome screens!

Really puts the "POW" into the vehicles.

Indeed, it's probably going to be the look people strive for. At least I know I am :)

Much better than the current fad of hexes and crazy ass airbrush effects. Dwartist has set the bar, and high :)

Thanks gents - comments greatly appreciated!

No, not gloss varnishing - they've gone off to the 'client' for additional work (decals) and he will decide. I believe they will be the subject of a Kickstarter possibly sometime in May.

Cool painting! The airbrushing works very well on these and the window on the first is very promising. I'm not too fond of the cars...I like the designs, but for gaming they are too small IMO. I prefer bigger cars with more footprint and more options to hide behind. It's a shame there aren't any cool sci-fi dumpsters or large trucks available...but then again in resin they would cost a fortune.

I had a lorry but I dropped it... smashed through into the blokes office under mine.. he repairs fine china, made a right mess. Old dear who was in there having her pottery mended had a heart attack, I offered her an ambulance, but she couldn't use it as some twonk had parked a van across the entrance and we couldnt get passed it. Luckily she recovered soon after, so we all nipped out back for a fresh pizza from the mobile pizza-truck... that's so popular they bus people in to it apparently... certainly there's a lot of big  Taxis going there... they've had to hire a road-sweeper just to clean up after everybody.

But do bigger vehicles? As part of a range?

Nah, pointless... they're too big for gaming with anyway.

Wow, that's a bizarre way of responding to your customers but if that rocks your boat...(or I am totally missing the tongue in cheek here).

And I am a gamer, so your last sentence makes no sense to me. Trucks/dumpsters are perfect for gaming, but I understand they are too expensive because of their size. But still, one could dream...

I suspect the bold words are vehicles that Antenociti plans to produce.

Looks like we could be in for a treat.   Fingers crossed they also do a mobile home, Winnebago style or at least a caravan that can be towed.   :)

I've a bit more time to now... Ok, so.... Yes, tongue firmly in cheek was missed.

These are pre-production models we used for sizing to make sure they worked with the given rules (can i hide behind it? Can i shoot over it? does my base look big in this?).

"Too big for gaming" is a silly statement, yes, it is.     It's as silly as saying "too small for gaming" in fact.... unless you know the specific rules they were intended for. Glad you were so indignant about it, who wouldn't be as it is a very silly statement. So, it was an ironic backatya!.... so moving on..  o_o

We use a 5 stage process from print to production, these are at stage 3, they haven't been "polished" as we call it... coz' these models are not finalised, authorised or gone through the polishing process (that is the most time consuming).... they are good enough to paint and send to some people to give an idea of what the end product will look like in form, if not finish.  This is so we dont waste XX hours then find the answer is "Narp" and it never gets released.

David cant show sizes against figures because we told him not too. Atm neither can we.

ANd...these are things we might produce.

The kickstarter is partly for us to see if there is a market for big sized vehicles. If there is then we can compare against the already printed diddy stuff and get the right size for the big (expensive) stuff. If we get the size wrong on a lil biddy dinky car it aint an issue, get it wrong on £1500+ "big thing" print and it is... thus... test stuff is small stuff.

These vehicles are scenery, not active gaming pieces - this is important for distinction...  which means they were designed to be single-piece pulls, not more expensive multi-part items, so you will get 2, 4, 6 or 8 vehicles in a pack for the same price as 1 multi-part high-end model... because the game they were designed for requires a lot of scenery - 1 big truck isnt much good for the game, 20 egg-cars are, however 20 egg-cars AND 1 big truck are even better ( i say).

But, yes some compromises are needed, separate wheels? no, why? because separate moulds mean more time, means more expense, means higher retail. Doors that open> same thing...  part of the reason for these post-print models is to test moulds out and cast them to work out proper costs and see what can be done with them to reduce costs without loosing detail... its all part of a longer, involved process that isn't yet finished... the final models will share the same general forms, but the finish and some small detail will be different... where that stops is partly determined by the KS itself after all (produce in metal, resin or plastic - they all change things)..but we dont put too much time in the models at this stage as we dont know yet if they will end up in the final choices, when we do know that, they get finished  8)  David got models from 3-6 months ago after all. (did i use the immutable word yet?)

So, yes, a whole range of stuff going from small through middle to big. its a range... small to big, via mid size... more details are for the KS.

Some details I can't give... these vehicles had images released prior to certain other things happening, which are, currently, under wraps/NDA etc etc blah blah blah ..so these models from X months ago were already in public domain, since then things have moved on...but they work to show form and idea, especially when somebody like David throws in his bit of magic.    :-*  But these things are not immutable.

Any more details its best to use ask on our facebook as that get a whole lot more time than forums do, but even there its a case of waiting for certain dates to tick by. tick tock tick tock tick tock... lots of things are going on behind the scenes and, yes, sorry, but answers are often cryptic - not through desire, but *stuff*.

A good reply and answers my questions (even though I didn't have any out loud apart from release date)  8)

Good luck with the KS.

I think they look really good. Glad to see the masters have apparently been printed from high-poly meshes. I love Antenociti's stuff generally, but some of his/their 3D printed work suffers from visibly polygonal curves, and that had me slightly worried before I saw the pics here. I will very likely buy a set of these.
History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.
