Here is the image ( it's from an old family heirloom)

Thanks

Thank you for the fast  answering.

Ok, I am waiting for the prof. Hope he'll find a model which looks like these.

Have a look at the Brigade Games WWI range. A few months back one of these guys riding a camel changed hands between a couple of forum members, very nice model which I would definately have liked myself, IIRC it was a HLBS one from a past range.

You can try Tiger miniatures. They do a "german colonial" range.

There is also a Yahoo group called OstAfrika where you can found a lot of information.

From Brigade:

I assume their "German Schutztruppe in Slouch Hats Skirmishing A" would also fit the bill (about two-thirds of the way down this page):

Alas, no riding boots though.  Is this what you had in mind?

Definitely HLBSC, I've ordered a complete army prior to the range being deleted.  Try to contact Richard Kemp of HLBSC, there's always a chance he might cast'm for you.

BTW the HLBSC range is 28mm, but the figures are "slim" but nice (much like 20mm plastics in appearance) compared to other ranges.  From the top of my hat: this figure was available both as cav and camelry (they are somewhere in my unpainted storage "system"  lol, but they seem to be "out on patrol" right now, since I can't find'm right away  lol lol lol).

Cool minis. I'm thinking about collecting a few for the odd Nama Rebellion scenario. Nice links...

Just a thought, but the Brigade ones are Infantry. They're wearing puttees. The Tiger Minis ones appear from the photos to be booted. They also do camel-mounted versions.

Hmm... I don't want mounted riders, I want riders on foot ( so, no horses/camels). Very complicated. But thanks for the information.

Thaks

Tiger do foot figures also:

Perhaps not quite as nice as the Brigade figures, but they are wearing boots (it would appear, from a slightly blurry photo), so are more suited as dismounted troops.

Oh, thank you!

I think I'll mix the unit. Some tiger minatures and some brigade minatures.

Thank You

The HLBSC ones are still available. You just have to request them.
So many projects..... so little time.......
