Foundry Roman Civilians - Any good?
« on: March 19, 2014, 10:18:58 PM »
Not sure who sculpted these and I think they are post "golden age" of the Foundry sculptors, so looking for opinions?

Many of them are based on Copplestone dollies, darkest Africa and such, kind of conversion. Got them all and painted a lot of them for the LPL6. Love them, great bunch of nice sculpts.

Though nobles and townsfolk are definitely by another sculptor and they're not that good.

I've got CIV013 and it is very nice sculpting-wise. Pegged to be background crowd for my Troy market someday...

The Prof's work brings them to life, stunning painting and cracking sculpts 8).

Just right for capturing everyday life within the Empire and all those civil disputes, uprisings and rebellions within the empire or guarding and defending against attack from those from outside the Empire

if you need a mass of ancient civilians go to Victrix new box of light infantry.....

a few conversions and you are at the head of a slave army...... lol

and for the price of 1,5 x a foundry blister  :o
