That's a nice looking kit-bash Elbows, I am thinking about doing something similar.  Of course, GB is about to release the Arab foot soldiers so they might be used instead of the Vikings.

Here are my first 4 Foot Sergeants, I went for a very dark color scheme for them.  I decided to try something different for the skin tones.  I started with cork brown, washed it with brown ink, highlights with cork brown, washed with tanned flesh, and then highlighted again with cork brown.

I use Cork Brown for all of my flesh-tones, though I'll try something else for elves.  Nice choice, I like it.

I've seen cork brown used before, but I normally use dwarf flesh and elf flesh.  I thought that combination would give the skin too much of a warm glow for the down trodden look I was going for.

I was going to join the It's Alive threadromancy project but my topic here isn't old enough, so I'll just continue working from here.  Due work and military obligations I haven't done much painting or modeling in the last 8 months but everything is done so I have started painting again.   I don't have any pictures right now of complete models but I have finished a number of the Fireforge Sergeants.

In a addition to modeling I have developed some rules to use with my gaming group (my children) that I hope to start playing very soon.

I have aquired a box of GB Vikings and Warlord Games Celts and I have been kit bashing for a barbaric army of men.  My High Elves will get some archers and cavalry and the Men will also get some cavalry over the next couple of months.

After those few armies have been completed I'm want to turn my attention to armies that I've never really modeled, painted, or played - either dwarfs or undead.

But that's all down the road a little ways, stay tuned for pictures in the next few days.

Finished these 14 Fireforge Sergeants this evening.  There is a mixture of spearmen, swords men, one crossbow, and the leader of this force.  Most of the figures are built straight from the box set with the exception of a few heads from Warlord Celts.  The leader has an armored head and cloak from Fireforge's Templar box.

The figure on the right is the start of a barbarian force.  They will be composed mainly of Warlord Celts with Viking weaponry and helmets from Gripping Beast.

I didn't like how the skin tone was working on the barbarian miniatures so I changed it to a better look (I think!). I don't really have a fantasy world totally in mind as I build and paint these miniatures but I think ideas are starting to form.

Thanks Captain Blood, I just started on another 10 Fireforge miniatures and will get much better shots of the entire army when I complete them.

I like the warmth you've added to the re-worked barbarians' flesh. Great combination of forces you have put together so far!

Thanks Jevenkah, I think the skin color is much better too.

I painted these with the idea that they're fallen/disbanded Templars who have not given up their calling. Despite their fall they still roam the lands spreading their ideas and faith through fire and sword, whether bringing the light to heathens or purging non-human filth from the lands.

These two are unnamed characters for my human armies:

My crossbowmen:

Swordsmen:

Spearmen:
