Two very fine entries.

Those Marines look a lot like converted Victrix, is that the case?

Yes. Victrix plastic bodies with the ex-Victrix metal heads, now carried by Brigade Games. The sergeant with the spontoon is a metal figure from the command pack, alos now carried by BG.

Great stuff Oliv, nice metal  :)

Excellent Richard, assembly and paintwork  :-*

I think the Sashes are the wrong colour so prepare to repel borders  ;)
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Thanks.
They are all from Reaper (goblins are in metal and the giantess is a bone).

lol

The photo has brought them out a bit lighter than they really are - they're a bit more crimson and a bit less pink.

If crimson is the wrong colour for Napoleonic British Royal Marine sergeants' sashes, then all I can say is: 'face? bothered?' :D

Love the marines I think being geeky here the sash would be scarlet as would the officers tunic whilst the men would be red, but they look bleeding good 8)

Frank - that's it. No more red entries after this round  ;)

Ollv - I should have said before - I very much like the depth you have achieved in your picture, blending the model trees into the real ones - that works really well.
There's no scenic backdrop quite as good as the real thing  :)

No, they are actually to play with  :)

The thread concerned is here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=40047.0 where you can see these very same figures in their unpainted, kitbashed state.

I need to build a RN landing party force approximately 50 - 60 strong. I'm currently around halfway there... ::)

Both entries have a lot of character and life.

I really like the implication of action in the picture with the boats, I can almost hear the yelling. The goblin pic has a lot of motion as well. Was that picture taken outside? Both are great.

Thanks
